The seminar was a continuation of Course 1, which started on May 2015. The ISSE SE director, George Bebedelis and the university professor from Greece, Vasiliki Stephanides, who is a senior faculty member of ISSE SE presented the human values of Right Conduct and Peace and how these can be integrated in the regular school curricula. The ISSE SE Director during his talk underlined that: “a new holistic knowledge of the human personality is required. A knowledge that will not only attend to the temporal education of students, but which is also able to guide them in using their acquired skills for the well-being of themselves, of their fellow citizens and of the nation as a whole. This is the only viable way to Peace and Harmony in our societies”.
The host of the seminar, the director of the Educational Centre Lighthouse – Educare, Anita Levkovska: “I am very happy that the idea of organising a seminar for all teachers, who would like to use SSEHV in their daily work is coming to its fulfilment. Here we have teachers from as well public as from private schools and I am very glad that some of them have already started implementing SSEHV projects in the schools where they work. A real love in action!”. The next SSEHV seminar is scheduled for February 2016. In the meantime, the Educational Centre Lighthouse – Educare will organise a few SSEHV workshops for the same group of teachers in order to improve their teaching skills. The main purpose of these workshops will be the exchange of practical knowledge and experiences among the teachers, regarding the implementation of SSEHV in the school classes.
